Pillar 1: Hope on Wheels – The Mobile Medical & Dental Clinic

To reach communities in Westmoreland and Saint Elizabeth where roads are washed out and power is gone, we cannot rely on temporary tents. We need a hospital-grade facility that can drive through the debris and operate off-grid. We have identified the perfect solution: a 40ft Freightliner S2C Mobile Medical Unit.
Why This Unit?
- Built for Disaster Terrain: This is not a retrofitted RV. It features a steel cage shell mounted directly to a heavy-duty chassis with air-ride suspension, designed specifically to navigate the compromised roads of rural Jamaica.
- Total Energy Independence: When the local grid fails, our care continues. The unit carries its own 12kw Cummins Onan Quiet Diesel Generator and massive fresh water tanks, allowing us to perform medical and dental procedures completely off-grid.

The Solution: HerRelief is partnering with Island Imports Jamaica to deploy 20×20 FT modular container homes. These are not temporary shacks; they are permanent, hurricane-resistant structures designed to withstand the Caribbean climate.
Unit Specifications & Features:
- Hurricane Resistance: Engineered with heavy-duty structural steel framing and an anchored foundation system to resist wind uplift. The aerodynamic design and impact-resistant materials are specifically chosen to hold up against flying debris and tropical storms.
- Superior Insulation & Safety: Walls are constructed from EPS concrete panels which provide excellent spray foam insulation, fire resistance, and moisture resistance vital for preventing mold in humid conditions.
